The following databases are supported: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 SP3 through 2014 (x86, x84, and Express editions). SQL Server 2012 supports always on tracing, but does not support multi-subnet failover.
The Citrix Licensing Server download for this release is included with the installation media.
However my WDS target, which is a generation 2 Hyper-V VM itself (and connected to the same private v Switch as the WDS server), does not pull the image. Removing the v NIC which is attached to the external v Switch didnt make a change as well. according to this link windowsitpro.com/networking/configuring-dhcp-and-wds there should be no need for pxe options when installed on two seperate machines, right?
Within the "Advanced" tab the radio button "Authorize this Windows Deployment Services server in DHCP" is activated. The same happens when booting from a generation 1 VM that has a legacy NIC. Generation 1 VMs can be PXE-booted via legacy v NIC without any issues. However as it did not work out i moved the dhcp role to another machine.Memory Minimum of 2 GB RAM; 4 GB preferred; 4 GB is required for a larger number of v Disks (greater than 250).Hard disk and storage Disk storage management is important because a Provisioning Server can have many v Disks stored on it, and each disk can be several gigabytes in size.Provisioning Services English on English, Japanese, German, French, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Russian versions are supported.Processors Intel or AMD x86 or x64 compatible; 2 GHz minimum; 3 GHz preferred; 3.5 GHz Dual Core/HT or similar for loads greater than 250 target devices. When multiple boot images are available, PXE booting via WDS will present the end-user with a boot menu to select the image to load.
